Winter Sports Bios:
Nancy McManus – Swimming Coach:
Nancy McManus began coaching the MHS Swim Team in 2011. Nancy has many years of experience on a pool deck as a competitor, spectator and most recently as a USA Swimming Stroke and Turn Official and Starter. With a year of coaching experience, she is excited to continue to lead the team and get kids excited about competitive swimming.
Nancy also coaches tennis at the High School. She is an avid tennis player and lives in Milford with her family.
Dana Bourassa started his coaching career at Plymouth High school 36 years ago. He was hired to be Plymouth’s 1st Varsity coach. In 1983 he came to Milford High School taking over as the Marketing Education teacher and was also an assistant football coach and JV Softball coach. Coach Bourassa was on the football staff when they won the Division II championship In 1984. Also in 1984 Coach Bourassa started the Milford High School Wrestling program. Milford Wrestling was undefeated in Division II last year and State runner-ups. Coach Bourassa is a member of the NH Coaches Hall of Fame. He and his wife Doreen have three daughters Brandy, Robin and Holly. His daughters all participated in athletics, Holly is currently a member of the Keene State Soccer team, Brandy coaches the Milford Middle School’s Volleyball B team and Robin teaches 6th grade math at Auburn School.
Coach Sellars began coaching Wrestling for the town of Milford in 2001 for the Middle School program and was an assistant coach for the High School squad in 2002-2003. Jeff is a product of the Milford High School wrestling system under Coach Bourassa, having competed for the varsity squad all four years he was in high school and earning a spot in the prestigious “100 win club”. Jeff was a NH high school state wrestling champion in 2000 and was part of the 1999 & 2000 Milford State Championship Wrestling teams. Jeff has been the Milford Co-Head Wrestling Coach since 2011.
Jeff is a former US Marine and University of New Hampshire graduate. Jeff’s professional career has been in Juvenile Justice Services and he is currently employed as a NH Juvenile Probation and Parole Officer.
Dan Murray – Varsity Boys Basketball Coach:
Dan Murray graduated from Milford in 1973. As a player he was a starter and a key member of Milford’s 1972 Class L Basketball Championship coached by Mo Facques. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, he graduated from Fitchburg State College with a degree in business.
Dan began coaching high school basketball in 1981 at WLC in Wilton. He spent 18 years as the JV boys coach, followed by 8 years at the varsity level. In 2006 he became Milford’s boys’ varsity coach. His team won back to back state championships in 2010 and 2011. He was inducted into the NHICA in 2008 for over 25 years of coaching. Dan resides in Milford with his wife Jennifer and his twin sons, Daniel and Michael. He has been an enthusiastic volunteer coach with the Milford Community Athletic Association for the past ten years.
