FALL DRIVER EDUCATION INFORMATION
At this time, the fall class is FULL.
Fall Driver Education classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:45 pm. The first class will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd and end on November 12th. All classes will be conducted via Zoom. As stated below, per state law, students may not miss more than 2 classes for any reason, and they must turn 15 years and 9 months on or before 9/22/20 (born on or before 12/22/2004).
This class is limited to 20 students and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The applications will be available on Friday, September 11, 2020 in the airlock at the main office of the high school. Completed Applications will be accepted starting Monday, September 14th.
Parent's Night will be held on Thursday, September 24th via Zoom at 6:30 pm.
Students will also need 10 hours of behind-the-wheel training and 6 hours of observation (the 6 hours of observation can be completed with a parent under certain conditions and until further notice.)
Tuition is $695.00.
Driver Education classes are offered through Milford High School on a first-come, first-serve basis. As a class ends, the instructors will decide on the start date of a new session.
Students must attend 16 sessions, generally held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, plus do their driving hours. By law, no more than 2 sessions can be missed, and a student must be 15 years and 9 months old as of the first day of the class.
The cost of the class is $695.00.
When the instructors have decided on the date of the next class, announcements will be made at the beginning of the school day and via the website (in News and Daily Announcements) and on PowerSchool under Daily Announcements. Applications are then made available for students to pick up in the Main Office Lobby airlock. No applications are accepted on the first day they are available, in order to give everyone an equal opportunity to register. Applications must be complete to reserve a spot, and must include a birth certificate and an eye exam.
The slideshow on the link below gives more detailed information, though remember that dates can change (and already have!) based on school closures.
