Milford High School is a community of diverse students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and local citizens who foster a safe, respectful culture in a supportive environment that promotes equal opportunity for high-quality education. 

 

We believe well-educated citizens are prepared to contribute responsibly in their civic, social, and career endeavors.  Our school community works collaboratively to provide a rigorous and varied curriculum and to engage all students in authentic experiences, which motivate them to achieve their potential. 

 

Thus prepared, students go forth as well-informed, critical thinkers who pace with the advancements of the 21st century and contribute positively in a dynamic and competitive world.

Critical Thinkers & Problem Solvers

Milford School District Students will graduate able to collect and analyze information using effective reasoning skills to produce sound judgements. They will identify and solve real problems, ask essential questions, and demonstrate the ability to reflect critically on learning experiences, processes, and solutions. Students will consistently improve the quality of their own thoughts by skillfully analyzing, assessing, and reconstructing them.

 

Creators & Innovators 

Students will use multiple methods and resources to develop and refine ideas, demonstrating originality and inventiveness in their work; understand limits, and viewing failure as an opportunity to learn. They will act on creative ideas to make tangible and useful contributions to the field(s) in which the innovations will occur.

 

Flexible, Adaptable & Resilient Learners

Students demonstrate agility in thoughts and actions, and will persist in overcoming barriers despite criticism and setbacks. They will recognize and navigate diverse views to reach goals, particularly in multicultural environments.
