Ms. Robinson
My name is Leigh Robinson and this pottery teaching thing... it all really started with mud pies in the woods of Connecticut. Obsessed with making art, especially in clay, I became one of those kids in high school who spent her whole time in the art department. I eventually earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Ceramics at Rhode Island School of Design and then a Masters in Teaching at Rhode Island College.
After teaching in Rhode Island for ten years, I wanted to be closer to the rocks and mountains of New Hampshire and focus on teaching what I love the most, pottery. I became a staff member at Milford High School in 2004.
When I was a teenager, art gave me direction, motivation and connected me to myself and others. I hope that, in return, I can provide similar inspiration in my classroom. Fifteen years later, I’m still here at MHS, still excited to share ceramic arts with my students. When I’m not teaching, I am creating, climbing, biking, and embracing any experiences that get me outside for an adventure somewhere on this planet.
